"Miyakojima Kobo Umukutu" is the name of a dyeing and weaving brand that started with inspiration from traditional linen textiles. We create hand-dyed accessories, yukata fabrics, and other items designed with the beautiful nature of Miyakojima as our motif, and we also accept orders for traditional linen fabrics such as kimono sashes and obi belts. We regularly hold exhibitions in Tokyo and other locations, and recently celebrated our 5th anniversary. In the summer of 2025, our dyed stoles were featured in the in-flight sales of Japan Transocean Air, a JAL subsidiary operating Okinawa routes. Our products are also available in the shops of resort hotels on the island. In 2026, we held an exhibition at a long-established kimono shop in Tokyo. We also plan to expand our business to Paris, France.
