Herb Tea
「宮古島の恵み」という名のオリジナルハーブブレンドティーを作っています。
北緯２４度に位置し、亜熱帯海洋性気候の沖縄県宮古島。その力強い太陽、美しい海に囲まれた澄みわたる空のもとで育つ「宮古島の恵み」とも云えるハーブを、５つ厳選してオリジナルブレンドにしました。それぞれの旬に収穫された葉を、天日干し・陰干しを丁寧に重ねて手作りしています。ハーブは農家さんから直接仕入れていて、農薬不使用です。
基本のブレンドは５つのハーブを使用しています。モリンガ、長命草、月桃、苧麻、レモングラスです。
それぞれの植物が持つ力の素晴らしさについて、簡単にご紹介します。
モリンガ
原産地 インド アフリカ 東南アジアなど
「薬箱の木」「奇跡の木」とも云われ、ポリフェノールをはじめ９０種類以上の豊富な栄養を持つ注目のスーパーフードです。
長命草（チョウメイソウ）（宮古言葉ではウプバーサフナ）
原産地 日本 など
琉球では古くから長寿につながる薬草として慕われてきました。あらゆる病気の予防に効果があると伝えられています。
月桃（ゲットウ）（宮古言葉ではサンニン）
原産地 日本 台湾 中国 インド など
こちらも琉球時代からの薬草の一つ。ポリフェノールを多く含むので、抗酸化作用が高いと云われています。
苧麻（チョマ）（宮古言葉ではブー）
原産地 日本 中国 東南アジア など
宮古島を代表する伝統工芸品「宮古上布」は、苧麻の茎の繊維を使って織られています。あまり知られていないのが、根の部分は漢方薬、葉は生薬になること。
レモングラス
原産地 インド 熱帯アジア など
香りが良く、インド、アジアでは香辛料としても使われています。抗菌作用があり、風邪やインフルエンザの予防、腹痛・下痢の改善、消化促進、血行促進、貧血などに効果があると云われています。コレステロールや尿酸値低下の効果も。

We create an original herbal blend tea called "Miyako Island's Bounty."
Located at 24 degrees north latitude, Miyako Island in Okinawa Prefecture enjoys a subtropical oceanic climate. We've carefully selected five herbs that thrive under the powerful sun, beautiful sea, and clear skies of Miyako Island—herbs that truly embody "Miyako Island's Bounty"—and blended them into our original tea. The leaves, harvested in their respective seasons, are meticulously sun-dried and air-dried by hand. The herbs are sourced directly from farmers and are pesticide-free.
Our basic blend uses five herbs: Moringa, Chomeiso (long-life grass), Getto (ginger lily), Ramie, and Lemongrass.
Here's a brief introduction to the amazing properties of each plant:
Moringa
Origin: India, Africa, Southeast Asia, etc.
Also known as the "medicine cabinet tree" or "miracle tree," it's a remarkable superfood containing over 90 kinds of nutrients, including polyphenols.
Chomeisou (Long-Life Grass) (Upubasafuna in Miyako dialect)
Origin: Japan, etc.
In the Ryukyu Islands, it has long been revered as a medicinal herb associated with longevity. It is said to be effective in preventing all kinds of diseases.
Gettou (Ginger Lily) (Sannin in Miyako dialect)
Origin: Japan, Taiwan, China, India, etc.
This is also one of the medicinal herbs from the Ryukyu Kingdom era. It is said to have high antioxidant properties due to its high polyphenol content.
Ramie (Choma) (Buu in Miyako dialect)
Origin: Japan, China, Southeast Asia, etc.
Miyako Jofu, a traditional craft representative of Miyako Island, is woven using the fibers of the ramie stem. What is not widely known is that the root is used in Chinese medicine and the leaves in herbal medicine.
Lemongrass
Origin: India, tropical Asia, etc.
It has a pleasant aroma and is used as a spice in India and Asia. It has antibacterial properties and is said to be effective in preventing colds and influenza, improving abdominal pain and diarrhea, promoting digestion, improving blood circulation, and treating anemia. It is also said to lower cholesterol and uric acid levels.
